the questions many of our customers
ask here, but feel free to call
us toll-free at 1-866-379-7096
with any additional questions. |
 |
Where
are the contracts
honored?
|
|
| You
may take your vehicle to
the licensed repair facility
of your choice in the U.S.
or Canada. A reputable licensed
repair facility is one which
has the commitment to repair
your vehicle properly and
will usually have ASE certified
mechanics. |
|
 |
How
is a claim paid, and
what is the claim
process?
|
|
We
will pay the repair facility
direct by company credit
card; you do not need to
pay for covered repairs
up front and wait to be
reimbursed.
When your vehicle breaks
down and you need service:
 |
Simply bring the vehicle
to any licensed service
facility |
 |
The service manager
will determine the
type of repairs necessary,
then call the number
of our Contract Administrator's
office (provided in
your service contract
booklet) to receive
repair authorization.
|
 |
After obtaining authorization
and an authorization
number, the service
facility will repair
your vehicle. |
 |
When the repairs are
complete, the service
facility will fax
our Administrator's
office the completed,
authorized repair
order signed by the
customer. |
 |
Our Administrator's
office will then pay
the service facility
the authorized amount
with company credit
cards. |
|
|
 |
What
if my dealership or
mechanic won't accept
your payment?
|
|
| Once
they find out that we pay
retail (based upon Chilton's,
Mitchell's, or other industry
pricing guides) for parts
and labor, and pay by company
credit card, most dealerships
and repair shops want all
the business we can send
them. Our Customer Service
Consultants will gladly
contact facilities for you
to explain our payment method. |
|
 |
How
does your contract
differ from others?
|
|
Our
service contracts have no
wear and tear exclusions.
Simply stated, if a listed
component breaks or wears
out beyond the manufacturer's
specifications, it is covered,
and you are protected. You're
getting better coverage
at a better price.
Also, for New Vehicles
(still under factory warranty),
the term of coverage expires
according to the time and/or
mileage of the plan selected,
whichever occurs first.
For example, if you purchase
a 5 year / 100,000 mile
vehicle service contract
today, it will expire 5
years from today, or when
the vehicle's odometer reaches
100,000 miles, whichever
occurs first. This will
give you more time than
with other vehicle service
contracts, which determine
expiration based upon the
vehicle's in-service date.
|
|
 |
Does
each component repaired
require a deductible?
|
|
| Only
one deductible per repair
visit is required, no matter
how many repairs were performed
in that visit. There is
also a $0 deductible option
available. |
|
 |
How
often are there claims
on vehicles?
|
|
| National
statistics show us that
in the next twelve months,
1 in 3 vehicles will experience
a mechanical failure that
could be covered. |
|

|
 |
What
reassurance do I have
that your company
will be here in years
to come to honor claims?
|
|
| We
submit actuarily required
funds to a third-party administrator,
which sets up "trust
reserves". These reserves
are used to pay for claims.
|
|
 |
Are
your vehicle service
contracts adequately
backed? |
|
| Yes.
the claim reserve is reinsured
to offer you, the consumer,
the ultimate in protection.
Our Administrator reinsures
our Trust Reserves twice
to adequately cover all
claims today and tomorrow.
The insurer that backs our
contracts is "B++"
(Very Good) rated and the
reinsurer is "A"
(Excellent) rated by A.M.
Best. Your service contract
is absolutely reliable and
secure. |
|
 |
Do
you have any recommended
service facilities?
|
|
| You
as the contract holder have
the choice of returning
your vehicle to a franchised
dealer for repairs, or your
favorite service facility. |
|
 |
Why
buy now if I have
time left on my original
factory warranty?
|
|
| You
may take your vehicle to
the licensed repair facility
of your choice in the U.S.
or Canada. A reputable licensed
repair facility is one which
has the commitment to repair
your vehicle properly and
will usually have ASE certified
mechanics. |
|
 |
I've
never had any problems
with my car, why would
I want an extended
warranty?
|
|
| Cars
today have more accessories
and electronics than ever
before. Even though they
don't break often (about
1 in 3), the repair costs
are taxing for the average,
and even the above-average
budget. |
|
 |
How
can you provide your
contracts at such
a low cost?
|
|
| We
provide service contracts
directly to the buying public,
rather than selling through
middlemen. This allows us
to offer our services at
lower prices than resellers.
|
|
 |
Is
the contract transferable?
|
|
| Yes,
if you sell your vehicle
to an individual, the contract
may be transferred to the
new owner for a $50 fee.
This enhances the value
of your vehicle when selling
to a private party. |
|
 |
What
if I don't keep my
vehicle for the term
of my contract?
|
|
| You
can cancel your contract
at any time and receive
a pro-rated refund. Other
terms and conditions may
apply. |
|
 |
How
do I pay for my contract?
|
|
| Your
payment options include
VISA, MasterCard, American
Express or Discover. |
|
 |
Do
you have a payment
plan? |
|
| No,
there is always a hidden
cost to payment plans. This
cost is always passed on
to the consumer. We’ve
elected to offer the lowest
pricing possible instead. |
|
 |
When
does this contract
start and end?
|
|
Our
vehicle service contracts
take effect 30 days and
1,000 miles after the date
of purchase.
For New Vehicles (still
under factory warranty),
the term of coverage expires
according to the time and/or
mileage of the plan selected,
whichever occurs first.
For example, if you purchase
a 5 year / 100,000 mile

the vehicle's odometer reaches
100,000 miles, whichever
occurs first. This will
give you more time than
with other vehicle service
contracts, which determine
expiration based upon the
vehicle's in-service date.
|
|
 |
How
many levels of service
contracts do you offer?
|
|
| If
your vehicle is still covered
by the manufacturer’s
warranty, we have 3 plans
that will fit your needs--the
PLATINUM 'Bumper-to-Bumper',
the GOLD 'Component Specific',
and the GOLD 'Powertrain'. |
